And Off SHE Goes........

In her natural state, SHE Flows and SHE Thrives.

Then Mr Judgement comes knocking and SHE sees Mrs Fear lurking behind Auntie Not-Good-Enough.

SHE lets them in and became an unnatural state of un-being and un-doing to make them happy.

She can’t wait for them to go away.

ANNND what if, right now, she opens the door and walk out....

And tell them ....………

“Hey!

Stay for as long as you want. I love you but I have to go. You can take care of yourselves, You’ve been here so many times.

BUT I need to BE somewhere else. I’m grateful for what you’ve taught me but please let me go.

Let me GO be the person I want to be - courageous, loving and kind.”

There!

My very short fairy tale dedicated to my negative thoughts that keeps playing in my head.

Too short to make a book; Too dark to be read to kids as a bedtime story. Too meaningful to be left unsaid, until the perfect time. And adult fairy tale.

You can call it what you want -

  • Negative Thoughts

  • Voices in the Head

  • Home Movies of Past & Future

  • Lies, Lies, Lies

  • Deepest Darkest Truth

  • Self-Judgement

  • Worries

  • Fears

  • Don’t Go There!

  • Nowhere World

  • Ego

  • Invisible Wounds

  • The Buzzing Bee

Whatever name you call it, the negative thoughts will never go away. No matter how much inner work you have done, you will never “arrive” healing.

If you think you’ve “arrived” healed, you are dead.

Not literally, but if you think about a flower - a beautiful lily, it’s perfect, it blooms, and in its perfection, it will die.

And then the cycle begins again. And again.

You are not dead.

You are alive.

And to be alive, means you need to keep on growing and to keep on healing, whatever you need to heal on the inside.

Some wounds cannot be seen. And some wounds will never heal. And these wounds are the ones that need the greatest care, and we start by listening to what we say to ourselves.

The work is simply to be aware of the negative thoughts as they come up, acknowledge them, and let them go.

They will come up every so often to scare you. Don’t be afraid to invite them in just for a little while, and slowly they will begin to be in the background rather than the main characters in your life story.

The thoughts are just thoughts, they are just words made up by your past experiences. They do not define who you are as a human being.

They are just a scary fairy tale. And they are not true.

Ask yourself:

WHO ARE YOU?

WHO ARE YOU FOR OTHERS?

WHO DO YOU WANT TO BE FOR OTHERS?

HOW DO YOU WANT TO SHOW UP?

That is the real YOU!!!

xoxo
