Why Getting "Excited" May be the Answer to Doing the Things You Don't Want to Do

If you have to do something that somewhat makes you feel nervous, anxious, scared, not confident at all…….

Say this >>>>>>

I Am Excited!

I’ve been trying on something new with what I say to myself, thanks to Simon Sinek. Watch his video here.

I’m excited about posting on instagram even though it’s a freaking waste of time.

I’m excited about finishing this post even though I’ve rewrote it like gazillion times, because it’s not coming about the way I want it to be.

I’m excited about meditating in the morning.

I’m excited about drinking (yucky) ACV and lemon.

I’m excited about meeting people even though all I want to do is stay at home.

I’m excited about dropping my classes at AMI Power Yoga to focus on my personal life.

I’m excited about decluttering.

I’m excited about packing up the house and moving into a hotel in 2 weeks time.

I’m excited about being homeless for 3 months and not having my things around me.

I’m excited not knowing where I'll be, what I'll do in the future.

I’m excited about going to Level 3 in December.

It’s more than “faking it till you make it”. I’m not in the work of faking my excitement.

I’m in the work of CHANGING THE WORDS I SAY TO MYSELF and CREATING A NEW WAY OF BEING!

Instead of thinking the worst case scenario which is my default response-

I choose to discover 3 exciting things that can happen!

I’m learning to recognise what anxiety feels in my body and acknowledging the feelings when they come up and then giving them all up to embody the new way of being of - EXCITEMENT.

So when I start to feel my eyes straining, and I’m feeling restless, and my heart is beating way too loud and fast - I sit up tall, take a big full breathe in and say,

I’m excited! Everything will be ok!
