It’s that time of the year again to look back at what I’ve done in the last 12 months. I never did do this until a few years ago because I never thought what I did amounted to much.
Before Baptiste Yoga, I’ve never delved into the world of possibilities.
Before Baptiste Yoga, I was drifting along doing the same thing over and over again - working long hours in my Australian mortgage broker job, trying to find time to date, dance and gym.
Before Baptiste Yoga, I would have considered 2019 a failure because I’m not yet pregnant after 4 frozen embryo transfers (FETS). Not only that, doing IVF has held me back in my yoga teaching and not being able to do what lights my life - sucks! I can’t plan anything long term like applying for yoga teaching position at a yoga studio, do FIT TO LEAD training with Baptiste Yoga; can’t even practise as I want….
AND... because of Baptiste Yoga and the tool of inquiry (which is one of Baptiste Yoga’s 3 Practices) - I’ve have access to the world of self-discovery and new possibilities.
Yes, IT IS OKAY to feel sad and frustrated and the work is to acknowledge the feelings and be present to what I do have going for me in my life.
My biggest takeaway from 2019 is - stop complaining and make a commitment to what I want to make happen. Because before I can create space and look to see what’s possible, I need to let go of my fears and be a clearing for the past.
And If what I want to happen - doesn’t happen, it’s okay. I'll be okay. I can handle whatever comes up. I got it. I'm brave enough. I have the courage.
For right now, I’ll be present to whats good in life right now.
I will forgive myself and give myself permission to begin newly, every day.
